IN YOUR EYES
A Hundred Year’s Inheritance (A 100-Year Legacy) OST Part 4
I LOVED seeing David Cook on my TV again. His mentoring was A+. Seriously. Let’s ditch the useless Randy and put David in his place! He zeroed in on each of the contestant’s weaknesses and patiently worked to improve their performances.
"He has rocked the world with his anthemic sound that can only be described as ‘David Cook.’" -Great description of David Cook by Ryan Seacrest.
David was the mentor for Idol XIII Top 8 Redux for 80s week. I’m glad the producers picked him because it is undeniable that during his season he rocked a lot of 80s songs and made them his own. I think he’s the master of the 80s among all Idol contestants.
Look, I’m not saying this just because I’m a big David Cook fan but he is such a great mentor. The way he coached the Idol contestants this week, he was so spot on. He even takes his lectures to the actual stage. He knows what he’s talking about — he points out every flaw and gives the contestants tips on how to fix them. He even helped them find a good way to sing the songs they picked.
Keith Urban loved him. Jennifer loved him. Harry loved him. Randy (the actual mentor) actually didn’t say anything because everything that David was saying during rehearsals were actually on the mark. Top 8 redux was a love parade for David Cook.
David would make a great mentor if not as a judge. His loyalty to Idol stays as this was his 6th consecutive year of being on Idol. He has good insight, he has the ability to actually help those contestants grow. I’d love to see him back again next season (IF there will be a next season) as a mentor if not as a judge on Idol. I think he would be perfect.
